We are a sales organization based in Reutlingen, Germany, responsible for the German-speaking markets of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In addition, we work closely with our office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, which is responsible for the Benelux region, the Nordic countries, and the United Kingdom.

Category Manager (m/f/d)

In this role, you will translate Bonduelle’s vision and strategy into impactful category management concepts and support the sustainable development of our ambient vegetable category. Together with our retail partners, you will develop data-driven growth strategies and strengthen our position as a trusted Category Partner in the market.
What you can expect
- You develop and implement Bonduelle’s Category Vision and actively contribute to the strategic growth of our product categories, with a focus on the German market and selected initiatives in Austria.
- You leverage market, shopper, and category insights (e.g., NielsenIQ, Circana, and ad hoc research) to develop customer-specific growth strategies across innovation, assortment, shelf optimization, pricing, and promotions.
- You analyze and translate data, trends, and insights into compelling category development plans and strategic recommendations.
- You lead assortment optimization projects and develop data-driven recommendations for our retail partners.
- As the internal category expert, you support and advise cross-functional teams with in-depth analyses and market knowledge.
- Together with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Growth Management, you create compelling category stories, customer presentations, and strategic concepts.
- You proactively identify market and shopper trends and derive opportunities and recommendations for Bonduelle and its customers.
What you bring
- At least three years of professional experience in Category Management or a comparable field, ideally within FMCG, retail, or market research.
- A successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a comparable qualification.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills, as well as experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Solid knowledge of NielsenIQ and/or Circana methodologies and tools. Experience with household panel data (e.g., YouGov or Nielsen Homescan) is an advantage.
- Good understanding of the German FMCG retail landscape and a passion for consumer goods, food, and retail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills combined with professional stakeholder management.
- A structured, self-driven working style, while enjoying collaboration in cross-functional teams and bringing solid project management capabilities.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and to our Eindhoven office in the Netherlands.
