Job Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled, talented, hard working and enthusiastic cook to take on the role of supporting the head chef for our Breakfast/Brunch service, as well as working with kitchen help. The ideal candidate is creative, reliable, able to lead if necessary, and passionate about crafting high-quality brunch dishes with a personal touch. We are also looking for someone who is flexible and willing to help out in other areas of the cafe. We are a small team, and therefore being multifaceted is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a rotating breakfast/brunch menu featuring both classics and creative specials.
- help with kitchen operations on a daily basis,
- ensuring food quality and presentation are consistently excellent
-Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering strictly to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) food safety standards
-Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and timely service
-Manage inventory for brunch ingredients and communicate restocking needs
-Bring fresh ideas to the menu while respecting the café’s brand and customer preferences
Requirements:
Proven experience as a chef or cook, ideally in brunch or breakfast service
Solid understanding of HACCP principles and commitment to food safety
Strong culinary skills with a flair for creative presentation
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Availability every Sunday from early morning to early afternoon
Food handler’s certificate or relevant qualification (preferred)
