As Material Manager, you are responsible for planning the production and procurement of all raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products at the Hof site. Your core duties include the continuous improvement of our production and procurement planning, efficient supplier management, as well as the ongoing monitoring and adjustment of inventory levels for both raw materials and finished products.
- Material and Production Planning (MRP): Analyzing and adjusting planning parameters and methodologies for procurement and production planning to ensure the highest possible delivery reliability for our customers while maintaining optimized inventory levels.
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Ensuring a continuous and timely supply of materials through demand-driven call-off concepts and the optimization of lead times (cycle time).
- Inventory Management: Optimizing and controlling stock levels (raw materials, work-in-progress/finished goods) with the aim of achieving inventory transparency and preventing stockouts or excess inventory.
- Logistics & Process Optimization: Coordinating the flow of goods in collaboration with Logistics Management.
- Reporting: Contributing to the SIOP process and the daily reporting structure.
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Procurement & Planning department.
- Personnel and resource planning based on current requirements, as well as the implementation of personnel development measures.
Education:
Completed degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience:
Several years of experience in procurement, warehousing, or supply chain, ideally in a leadership position.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), MS Office (especially Excel), and inventory management.
Skills:
Analytical thinking, negotiation skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and good English skills for an international environment.
Language Requirement:
Fluency in both English and German is mandatory.
