The Logistics-Material Coordinator is handling the processing of material release orders, maintaining stock records, and managing automated and manual accounting records, manage and direct logistics operations within a warehouse setting. Performs other supply and warehousing duties in accordance with AR 710-2.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Source material and service requirements outside the standard military supply chain.
Issue RFQs (Requests for Quotes) and obtain competitive supplier quotations.
Manage procurement approvals through both internal and government stakeholders
Process purchase requirements and maintain auditable procurement records.
Update and maintain project databases, material tracking systems, and asset visibility tools.
Prepare and submit weekly contract deliverables in accordance with PWS requirements.
Coordinate with multiple sites and project teams throughout the OCONUS AOR to meet critical mission logistical requirements.
Ensure strict compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations, company procedures, and contract-specific requirements.
OTHER or ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related federal and state legislation and regulations.
Knowledge of various computer applications such as Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee operations of the logistics organization.
Ability to work independently and with little guidance.
Experience & Education
High school education, associate degree a plus.
Specialized training courses in Logistics/Material Coordination is desirable.
Three (3) years’ experience in logistics.
Experience in supply chain management and/or government property administration.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Must be able to Read, Write and Communicate effectively in English.
Be able to complete a LNSP security screening to obtain a CAC (Common Access Card), This requires a minimum of one (1) year residency in Germany.
OCONUS: Some positions will be assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions.

If US citizen, must be able to obtain/maintain Security Clearance (NACI-T1) or obtain/maintain favorable LNSP Background check - NACI-T1 needs to be at least initiated - ok to start with Police Report in hand and NACI-T1 clearance initiated.
If non-US citizen, must be able to obtain German Police Report or obtain/maintain favorable LNSP Background check LNSP.
