We are looking for a scientist to join a research project investigating the relationship between periodontitis and brain aging, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Periodontitis is a highly prevalent chronic inflammatory disease that may represent a significant risk factor for neurodegenerative diseases. The project aims to identify brain areas affected by periodontitis, clarify the role of specific pathogens as mediators, and investigate the contribution of systemic inflammatory processes. The project involves analyses and modelling of high-dimensional imaging and OMICS data from large-scale population-based cohort studies, e.g. the Study of Health in Pomerania. Experience in data analysis and basic knowledge in statistical modelling is required. We offer support for deepening practical and theoretical expertise and the opportunity to gain interdisciplinary research experience.
Your tasks:

-
Presentation and discussion of results at scientific congresses
