As we establish our new Munich manufacturing and client services entity, we are seeking an Electronics Technician II / III to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electronic products.

The Electronics Technician III is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex PCAs at the component level and ensuring that electronic products meet Campbell Scientific’s quality standards. This role collaborates with other departments and customers to report data, resolve problems, and design new test procedures and test equipment.
As part of the new Munich team, this position may assume lead technician responsibilities, contribute to process improvements, and train other technicians.

Perform bench and environmental testing of PCAs following established test procedures.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment at the component level on complex CSI products.
Support field applications including Eddy Covariance, Trace Gas, and Micrometeorology instrumentation.
Interface with customers and other departments to resolve product issues.
Develop new testing methodologies and design test stations/fixtures as needed.
Create and update datalogger programs for test and debug purposes.
Document test failures and corrective actions.
Maintain on-time delivery of tested products 90%.
Train and mentor other technicians.
Cross-train in other areas to maximize productivity.
Apply ISO 9001 standards and maintain compliance with quality and safety procedures.
Lead or co-manage daily operations for assigned product lines as required.
Associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent on-the-job experience; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
3–5 years’ experience in electronics testing, repair, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to use standard bench testing equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, function generator).
CRBasic programming experience and familiarity with CSI products.
IPC 610, 7711/7721, J-STD-001 certification or demonstrated ability.
Ability to analyze electronic circuits and interpret schematics, datasheets, and test procedures.
Mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency preferred.
Hands-on mentality and proactive problem-solving approach.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
