Job Summary: The Pediatrician provides comprehensive medical care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. This role collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote optimal health outcomes while delivering high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program and eligibility for or certification by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) required.
- Degree:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) approved school of medicine.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
U.S. Citizenship is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Conduct physical examinations, assess patient health, and diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Administer immunizations and provide routine well-child care and health screenings.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, nutrition, and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate intervention and follow-up care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
Work Environment and Schedule: On site, full time.
Physical requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, examine and occasionally lift or position infants and young children, and respond promptly to medical emergencies. Requires good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform patient examinations, administer treatments, and safely operate medical equipment.
