Join a fast-growing, self-funded AI platform startup based in Munich that is building the infrastructure enabling thousands of users to interact with AI every day. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the platform — owning features end-to-end, architecting scalable backend systems, and helping shape how businesses connect their data to AI workflows. Build and ship high-quality full-stack features using TypeScript and React, with a strong focus on seamless user experience.
Design and implement robust backend systems capable of handling massive data scale and millions of API requests.
Take full end-to-end ownership of features — from concept and architecture through deployment and ongoing operation.
Debug production incidents, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
Synchronize and index terabytes of client data while managing fine-grained permissions.
Operate and optimize systems that process millions of LLM calls per month with high reliability.
Architect and scale environments that spawn thousands of secure code sandboxes per day.
Build foundational infrastructure to enable rapid onboarding of custom integrations.
Mentor junior engineers and raise the bar through thorough, constructive code reviews.
Collaborate closely with AI integration and product teams to shape the user experience on the platform.
Must-have:
3+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
Proven experience with Kubernetes-based deployment and container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines in production environments.
Strong track record building and scaling backend services for high data volumes and millions of API requests, with a focus on reliability and security.
Ability to own features completely — from design decisions through debugging live production issues.
Nice to have:
Experience with Python, tRPC, or similar backend technologies.
Familiarity with GenAI platforms or LLM integrations (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical code reviews.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth product environment.
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year
