Sandbox Interactive is the ambitious game development studio behind the award-winning game Albion Online. The game is the first true cross-platform MMO, and is playable on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android with more than 350.000 daily players and over 2 million monthly visitors on our website. We are looking for a QA Technician to help ensure the quality and gameplay integrity of Albion Online across all supported platforms - with a primary focus on mobile and consoles. In this role, you will work closely with game designers, developers, and QA colleagues to validate cross-platform functionality, identify issues, and help deliver a polished and stable player experience.
Test and validate gameplay and systems across mobile and console platforms
Identify, reproduce, and document bugs related to platform-specific issues, including controls, input handling, UI navigation and performance
Follow up with developers on reported issues and clearly report findings in our bug tracking system
Work closely with Designers, Producers, and Feature Owners to ensure features meet platform requirements and quality standards
Create and maintain test plans, checklists, and test cases focused on cross-platform coverage, device compatibility and regression testing
Participate in internal playtests and provide feedback on usability, controls, performance, and overall player experience across platforms
Help ensure builds are stable, optimized, and release-ready on all supported platforms
Previous experience in Quality Assurance or game testing, preferably with cross-platform, mobile and/or console focus
Strong understanding of platform-specific challenges (mobile devices, consoles, different hardware specs, input methods)
Experience with bug tracking and development tools (e.g. JIRA, Unity) and familiarity with game development workflows and agile processes
Strong attention to detail, structured working style, and ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organization, time management, and prioritization, even during busy release phases
Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English
Experience testing on mobile devices (iOS, Android) and/or consoles (Xbox, Playstation)
Familiarity with platform certification requirements and submission processes
Passion for games like Albion Online and a solid understanding of its gameplay
