Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer/scientist to ensure the reliability, quality and performance of advanced semiconductor devices. The successful candidate will apply reliability engineering principles, data analytics, and root cause analysis to improve reliability margin, reduce reliability risks, and drive continuous improvement across operations. This role requires strong technical depth, hands-on problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Your Job
Develop, implement, and sustain reliability strategies to improve reliability robustness, performance, and streamline the test process.
Apply reliability methodologies such as FMEA, Weibull/Lognormal/other statistical analysis, and reliability degradation/improvement modeling.
Establish and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based reliability stress tests.
Define reliability requirements for new processes/devices and support qualification and early assessment activities.
Analyze reliability related stress data, failure modes, and maintenance history to identify improvement opportunities.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic and high impact failures and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Track and report key reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, availability, OEE) and communicate insights to stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and statistical analysis.
Partner closely with operations, technology development, process engineering, and suppliers to improve process/device reliability and stability.
Provide technical guidance and reliability expertise during failure root cause troubleshooting and recovery events.
Support process technology engagements related to process performance, reliability improvements, and design changes.
Develop and maintain reliability standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
Ensure lessons learned are captured and standardized across tools, areas, or sites where applicable.
Contribute to reliability training and knowledge sharing within the engineering organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical engineering, Material science, or related fields).
3–7+ years of experience in reliability engineering, process integration, or device engineering.
Strong understanding of reliability engineering concepts, failure mechanisms, and maintenance strategies.
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, JMP, Minitab, Python, Excel, or similar).
Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and drive sustainable corrective actions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor processing or other high-volume, high-reliability manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with automated measurement tools, complex wafer probing systems, and data automation.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and advanced reliability modeling techniques.
Experience supporting measurement tool installation, qualification, and production ramp activities.
Master's degree in engineering or related technical field.
