As Head of Marketing Germany , you will lead the end-to-end growth agenda for one of our key markets, driving brand performance, innovation, digital transformation, and category growth while developing high-performing teams and strengthening our challenger culture.
As Head of Marketing Germany, you will be responsible for leading the full consumer and shopper engagement journey across the German business. You will oversee Category Growth Teams spanning Brand Management, Consumer & Market Insights, Digital, Media, Innovation, Consumer/HCP Activation, and Shopper Marketing, ensuring an integrated and consumer-centric approach across both global and local brands.
Working closely with local and global leadership teams, you will define portfolio strategies, accelerate innovation, drive above-market growth, and champion a culture of agility, ownership, and continuous improvement. As a member of the German Leadership Team, you will contribute to shaping the future direction of the business and strengthening alignment with Opella’s global vision.

- Build strong partnerships across commercial, medical, regulatory, digital, and global functions.
- Help shape a culture that is ambitious, collaborative, consumer-focused, and committed to continuous growth.
- Define and execute the end-to-end marketing and category growth strategy for Germany, covering brand management, consumer insights, innovation, digital, media, and shopper activation.
- Own the local portfolio strategy in partnership with the General Manager and Global Brand Teams, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
- Lead the development and execution of innovation pipelines, annual brand plans, product launches, and promotional strategies for both local and global brands.
- Drive integrated consumer, healthcare professional, and shopper engagement programs across all channels and touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, E-commerce, Medical, Regulatory, and Global Marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of growth initiatives.
- Lead digital and media teams to deliver impactful, data-driven campaigns that maximize brand performance and consumer engagement.
- Serve as a member of the German Leadership Team, contributing to business strategy, organizational culture, and transformation initiatives.
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing marketing teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and a strong challenger mindset.
- Proven marketing leadership experience within Consumer Healthcare, OTC, Consumer Goods, FMCG, or related industries, with a strong track record of driving business growth and brand performance.
- Extensive experience leading multifunctional marketing organizations across brand management, innovation, consumer insights, digital, media, and activation.
- Demonstrated success in developing portfolio strategies, launching innovations, and delivering profitable market share growth.
- Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience building, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Strategic, analytical, and commercially driven mindset, with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term business priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills, with experience working across international and cross-functional organizations.
- Strong digital marketing and consumer engagement expertise, with a passion for leveraging data, technology, and emerging trends to create competitive advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken; French is a plus.
