Could you be the full-time Bogie Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) in Siegen we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
Our Siegen site is an international competence center for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test, and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites.
We’ll look for you to:
- Ensure the technical relevance of the product from initial definition through industrialization to operational performance
- Manage all technical aspects of projects, including coordination with internal teams, customers, and suppliers, as well as planning, interfaces, and budget follow-up
- Ensure compliance with contractual technical requirements, including performance, RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety), fire/smoke regulations, and eco-design principles
- Guarantee timely availability of all input data required for engineering studies (design inputs, supplier lead times, production deadlines)
- Lead and coordinate design reviews, as well as internal and external validation activities
- Produce, update, and approve technical definition and justification documentation
- Define and monitor the technical validation plan, including tests and verification activities (routine tests, type tests, etc.)
- Drive continuous optimization of product development costs
- Contribute to technical tendering activities when required

- Mechanical Engineering degree
- 5–10 years of professional experience as an industrial designer, preferably in bogie or railway running gear development
- Strong analytical mindset
- Ability to synthesize and clearly structure complex technical information
- Leadership capabilities
- High level of autonomy and ownership
- Strong team spirit and collaboration skills
- Rigorous and detail-oriented working approach
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
