Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Act as the global technical authority for package and system reliability, interconnect technologies, and cross‑platform reliability methods - owning standards, best practices, and direction across Business Lines
- Set and steer long‑term reliability strategy and qualification approaches for new and existing package and system platforms; align roadmaps with customer needs, market trends, and business goals
- Mentor and coach senior engineers and principal experts; contribute to global design and peer reviews; build a strong community of practice that raises the bar for reliability across sites and functions
- Anticipate and translate emerging science and technology into practical solutions - evaluating new materials, architectures, and test methodologies to deliver fast and profitable reliablitity solutions
- Lead critical problem resolution teams: run rigorous, data‑driven root cause analysis, orchestrate global expert teams, and de‑risk technology ramps and field performance for high‑volume products
- Represent Infineon with strategic customers and suppliers, influence industry standards and key technical decisions
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Materials Science, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field- 15+ years professional experience in semiconductor packaging/ reliability
- Hands‑on expertise in semiconductor package and system reliability, interconnects, materials, failure mechanisms, and qualification (e.g., JEDEC, AEC‑Q); strong understanding of cross‑platform interdependencies and application requirements
- Recognized thought leader and coach with a track record of setting technical direction, mentoring senior talent, and gaining alignment among senior stakeholders across organizations and regions
- Strong business impact: you shape reliability strategy, influence product and technology roadmaps and standards, and turn technical insight into long‑term customer value and competitive advantage
- Proven problem solver: analytical, hypothesis‑driven, and data‑based decision maker with experience in DOE/statistics, failure analysis, and thermo‑mechanical modeling/FEA; effective leading through ambiguity
- Innovation driver: you challenge conventions, create and scale new methodologies, tools, and governance, and balance opportunity and risk while delivering measurable results
Fluency in English, willing to travel internationally (approx. 10–20%)
