PM Group now have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner. The purpose of this role is to partner with senior business leaders across Germany and Switzerland to deliver strategic and operational People & Culture solutions that support organisational performance, capability, engagement and growth.
As a member of the Western Europe People & Culture Team, the HR Business Partner will provide commercially focused people leadership, drive key talent and organisational initiatives, and ensure compliance with local employment legislation and company policies.
The role will also provide temporary maternity leave cover for the Denmark Business Unit during late 2026 and into 2027 financial year.

- Act as a trusted advisor and challenger to senior leaders, influencing decision-making to strengthen organisational capability, performance and culture
- Provide a proactive HR service to the Germany and Switzerland business units

Develop and maintain strong, effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation

Work closely with the Head of Business Partnering ensure consistent and effective delivery of HR support across the DACH Business Units

Support the delivery of HR projects and initiatives, including Employee Wellness, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Recognition

Provide guidance to managers on HR processes, helping to build manager capability and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures including absence and performance management and disciplinary/ grievances processes.
- Lead, advise on and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, performance management, absence management and terminations, ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and company policies.

Support effective conflict resolution and contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive, inclusive and productive workplace culture

Develop, promote and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation

Coach and develop leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness, employee engagement and performance outcomes

Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve the employee and manager experience

Provide support and guidance to international assignees, ensuring all relevant documentation and processes are completed accurately and within required timelines

Partner with the Group Learning & Development Manager and business leaders to identify capability gaps and support the implementation of learning and development initiatives aligned to business needs

Liaise with the Payroll team on all employee payroll matters, ensuring payroll-related queries, changes and documentation are managed accurately and in a timely manner

Liaise with Group Compensation & Benefits to support the effective coordination and delivery of compensation, benefits and related HR processes and initiatives

Management and administration of benefits and benefit providers locally as required

Liaise with governmental authorities, insurance providers, brokers, payroll vendors, and other external partners on employment-related matters

Support statutory reporting, audits, compliance requirements, and regulatory submissions where required

Prepare and update reports for HR and Line Management

Undertake any other duties or projects that may reasonably be assigned from time to time in line with the requirements of the business

- Proven experience as a HR professional, ideally within a fast-paced and commercially focused environment

A third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
-
Minimum 8 years’ experience operating in a Human Resources role

Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential
-
Strong working knowledge of German employment law, HR best practice and GDPR requirements, together with a good understanding of Swiss employment law
-
Experience supporting multiple countries or operating within an international or matrix organisation would be advantageous

Proven understanding and experience of employee relations processes and HR policies and procedures
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, together with experience using HR information systems and other relevant HR technology

Strong ability to provide practical, commercially focused HR advice and guidance to managers and stakeholders
