About ATTS
ATTS Automation Engineering GmbH is a Leipzig-based industrial automation service provider and part of the international ATTS group. We support industrial manufacturers with robot programming, PLC integration, simulation, virtual commissioning, on-site commissioning, and production support, with a strong focus on automotive and other automated production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and program industrial robots for automated production stations.
- Download, test, modify, and optimise robot programs, including Offline Programs (OLP).
- Integrate robots with PLC systems, safety systems, tooling, and peripheral equipment.
- Configure robot I/O and verify signal mapping and communication with PLC systems.
- Perform robot mastering, TCP verification, payload configuration, reference checks, and tool calibration.
- Configure and verify robot work zones, interference zones, and safety zones.
- Support commissioning, automatic testing, troubleshooting, and production ramp-up.
- Optimise robot motion paths, cycle time, and production throughput.
- Troubleshoot robot programs, communication issues, motion errors, tooling interfaces, and peripheral equipment.
- Prepare backups, test records, technical documentation, and project reports, and coordinate with international project teams.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or a comparable technical qualification in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Knowledge or practical experience in industrial robotics, automation, motion programming, and robot safety concepts.
- Experience with KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB, or comparable industrial robot systems is an advantage; university, internship, vocational, and project experience are considered.
- Knowledge of PLC communication, robot I/O, and automated production systems is preferred.
- Applications from experienced professionals, early-career engineers, and recent graduates are welcome.
- Good English skills for international project communication; German skills are an advantage but are not required to apply.
- Structured, careful, and solution-oriented working style with a strong willingness to learn.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and, where required, other European countries, including assignments lasting several weeks.
- Valid authorisation to work in Germany, or eligibility to obtain the required work authorisation before employment begins.

- Full-time, permanent employment with a probationary period of up to six months.
- Gross annual salary from EUR 46,000, negotiable based on qualifications, technical knowledge, and relevant experience.
