In 2022, Betterguards was selected as one of five companies for the NBA Launchpad program, working alongside league and team advisors on ankle injury protection and rehabilitation — a further milestone in our commitment to put athletes at the heart of innovation.
At our development and production hub in Berlin, working in close collaboration with our textile production site ATL in Croatia, we design and manufacture innovative sports textiles using cutting-edge technologies such as Smart Textiles, SenseElast, and 3D silicone printing.
We are looking for a motivated professional with experience taking functional textiles from development through industrialization into serial production.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, and industrialize with the design and manufacturing team sports and medical garments with compression wear as baseline— from concept through serial production
- Define material requirements, manage material sourcing and supplier, and evaluate and test them for functional sports-medical products
- Lead size grading, develop sizes and TechPacks for textile products
- Track market trends, innovative textile materials, and functional fabrics
- Lead prodotype build, test, and evaluation in coordination with the textile factory in Croatia and the internal validation & testing team
- Collaborate closely with production, purchasing, and product management during the industrialization process of products
Your Profile
- Degree (Bachelor’s, Diplom, or Master’s) in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Textile Design, or a related technical field
- Ideally 5+ years of professional experience in developing and industrializing sports textiles and compression products – experience with sport-medical products is an advantage
- Experience in pattern construction; familiarity with relevant software and tools is a plus
- Strong interest in new technologies, innovation, and product development
- Independent, responsible, and eager-to-learn working style
- Fluent German or English, written and spoken; proficiency in at least one of these languages is required
- Experience developing and optimizing compression products is a strong advantage
