We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee long-term compliance projects. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in project management with a focus on regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance. This role requires a strong understanding of financial compliance frameworks such as Basel III, MiFID, GDPR, and AML. The candidate will be responsible for managing medium-to-high risk projects, collaborating with governance bodies (e.g., SteerCo), and ensuring alignment with best industry practices. Fluent English is necessary for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the full project lifecycle for complex, long-term compliance projects, ensuring successful execution with minimal risk.
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables in accordance with EMEA’s Project Management Methodology and relevant regulatory requirements.
Lead, influence, and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure effective collaboration and minimal disruption to business operations.
Develop and implement key project documentation, including business cases, regulatory requirements, roadmaps, testing plans, and transition strategies.
Identify, assess, and escalate risks, issues, and mitigation plans to senior executives, including the C-level Project Sponsor and governance committees (e.g., SteerCo).
Ensure adherence to compliance standards, governance protocols, and best market practices, ensuring deliverables withstand formal regulatory scrutiny.
Maintain transparency and governance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring appropriate oversight and regulatory alignment.
Adapt to ongoing regulatory changes, document policy impacts, and implement necessary updates across affected areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
2-5 years of project management experience, preferably in compliance, risk management, or governance-focused projects.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks such as Basel III, MiFID, GDPR, AML, and KYC.
Proven ability to manage medium-to-high risk projects and work with governance bodies such as SteerCo.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging with senior executives and regulators.
Fluent English is necessary; proficiency in German is a plus.
Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with financial institutions or regulatory bodies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
