PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial management team at Club Med. This role involves executing daily accounting operations, preparing reports, and contributing to effective financial decision-making processes. The Accountant helps ensure the company's financial stability by managing transactions efficiently.

GENERAL MISSIONS

1. Management of Financial Records

Maintain and update general ledger accounts accurately.

Record all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.

Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.

2. Financial Reporting and Compliance

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international standards.

Assist in compiling detailed reports for audits and management review.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management

Monitor and process incoming invoices and outgoing payments.

Handle billing procedures and follow up with clients on outstanding receivables.

Manage and resolve any discrepancies with vendors and clients.

4. Budgeting Support

Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the finance team.

Track budget performance and report variances to management.

Provide insights into financial data trends to support strategic planning.

5. Process Improvement and Efficiency

Identify areas for improvement within accounting processes and propose solutions.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Collaborate with IT for systems integration to streamline workflows.

6. Management & Leadership

Create a structuring and inspiring framework: Provide a clear and engaging environment, give meaning to actions and embody the Club Med Spirit.

Develop and empower teams: Help them develop their skills, encourage autonomy and initiative.

Ensure operational excellence: Manage performance with rigor and benevolence, optimizing time and resources.

KPI (position requirements objective)

Accuracy of Financial Records: Rate of error-free entries in ledger accounts.

Timeliness of Reporting: Percentage of reports completed by set deadlines.

Accounts Receivable Turnover: Speed of collection of outstanding debts.

Compliance with Standards: Rate of adherence to accounting and regulatory standards.

Efficiency Improvement: Reduction in processing time for key accounting functions.
