Help build our logistics operations
We are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to help develop and coordinate our European logistics operations.
This is a newly established role, offering an exciting opportunity to shape logistics processes with a possibility to grow into a Transport Manager position as the business continues to expand.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Organising domestic and international transportation
- Tendering and negotiating freight services
- Coordinating transfers between warehouses
- Managing communication with customs authorities
- Preparing and managing export documentation
- Cooperating closely with freight forwarders, warehouses, customer service and internal stakeholders
- Recording and following up freight claims
- Continuously improving logistics processes
- Supporting ERP-related logistics operations
As this is a new position, the responsibilities will evolve together with the company's growth. You would report directly to our Logistics Director Tommi who is located in Finland.
What we're looking for?
You have:
- Previous experience in international logistics and transportation
- Strong experience working with customs procedures, preferably German Customs
- Experience using ERP systems
- Fluent German and English
- The ability to work independently and make decisions
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure
- A logistics degree is considered an advantage but practical experience is more important
Location
We are ideally looking for someone living within a driveable distance of our Gerbershausen warehouse and can work on-site every now and then.
