As Senior Solution Engineer you are the technical heart of our enterprise sales motion. You sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our Account Executives in front of Heads of Sustainability, Procurement leaders, Supply Chain Leaders and IT — translating intricate compliance requirements into a clear vision of how the osapiens HUB will work in the customer's specific landscape.
You own the technical narrative through discovery, demo, RFP, security review and proof-of-concept — and you carry that knowledge back into Product so the platform stays sharp.
What You will Do
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospects across DACH and the wider EU; translate sustainability, supply-chain and compliance pains into concrete solution scope.
- Design and deliver tailored demonstrations of the osapiens HUB and its modules.
- Own end-to-end proofs-of-concept: scoping, success criteria, hands-on configuration, integrations, and final business-value readout to the executive sponsor.
- Architect customer integrations with SAP, Microsoft, ServiceNow, data warehouses, identity providers and procurement systems; advise on data flows, security and scalability.
- Be the trusted technical author on RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, DPAs and IT-security reviews.
- Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy, multi-threading and stakeholder mapping; coach AEs on technical talk-tracks.
- Feed structured prospect insights back to Product Management — what we win with, where competitors out-position us, what we need next on the roadmap.
- Mentor more junior SEs, contribute to enablement content and battle-cards, and help us scale the SE function as we grow.
We’re intentionally looking for people who have seen and thrived in fast-moving environments:
- 4+ years experience in solution engineering, presales, technical consulting or sales engineering for B2B enterprise SaaS.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise deals end-to-end, including POCs and security reviews; comfortable with deal sizes north of €250K ACV.
- Strong technical fluency: REST APIs and JSON, identity (SSO / SAML / OIDC), cloud architecture (AWS or Azure), enterprise integration patterns, basic data modeling and SQL.
- Sharp business acumen: comfortable mapping a regulatory or operational pain to ROI, TCO and a deployment roadmap a CFO will sign off on.
- Outstanding communication in both German and English; a third European language is a real plus.
- Proactive, structured, calm under pressure — equally comfortable in front of a board and in a Postman session.
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Munich or Mannheim, with willingness to travel ~25 % across the EU.
Bonus Points
- Domain expertise in supply-chain management & due diligence, EHS or compliance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow or Coupa.
- Exposure to AI / LLM workflows in enterprise SaaS.
- Prior experience scaling SE teams or building enablement programs.
- Italian, Spanish, French language skills.
