Job Description
Who will you be working with?
You will be part of the Information Solutions product line within Wabtec, focusing on passenger information systems for long and short-distance trains, trams, and metro systems.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software development, QA, testing, and other key stakeholders. In this role, you will also interact with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Embedded Software Engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of software projects for Wabtec’s Passenger Information Systems. You will ensure that projects are delivered in line with customer requirements, business goals, technical standards, and agreed timelines and budgets.
You will lead and motivate development teams, coordinate stakeholders, and drive efficient project execution. Additionally, you will manage risks, oversee scope and change management, and support continuous improvement of development and project management processes.
What will your typical day look like?

Managing end-to-end delivery of software projects

Leading and coordinating software development teams (developers, testers, QA)

Planning project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation

Monitoring project budgets and ensuring cost efficiency

Managing project scope, requirements, and change requests

Identifying and mitigating risks and resolving issues proactively

Driving communication between internal stakeholders and customers

Supporting contract negotiations, specifications, and milestone planning

Building strong customer relationships and ensuring high satisfaction

Contributing to continuous improvement of project management and development processes
Qualifications
What do we want to know about you?

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Proven experience in software project management (3+ years preferred)

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA)

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
-
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams

Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
