Be an active part of the transformation of the energy sector! In this role, you are responsible for the target architecture within the finance domain and drive the further development of our SAP, data, and AI landscape.
As the central architecture authority, you connect strategic objectives with a stable, secure, and scalable implementation, thereby laying the foundation for future finance and AI use cases. In close collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Finance & Controlling, IT, and the group-wide AI leads, you actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our platforms.
About the role
- Integration of data from SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA and BTP services into modern data lake / lakehouse architectures.
- Deriving architectural decisions (patterns, interfaces, security, etc.) from business requirements and governance guidelines.
- Establishment and further development of a future-proof AI platform architecture within the SAP context (e.g. SAP AI Core, SAP Business AI, Joule, SAP BTP).
- Definition of reference architectures, blueprints and guardrails for integration, analytics and AI scenarios.
- Establishing standards, guidelines and best practices for the use of AI, integration and data architectures in the SAP and finance context.
- Supporting business units and product teams throughout the entire lifecycle: from the initial idea through PoCs to the production solution.
- Close collaboration with service engineers, BTP engineers, platform owners and security to pragmatically convert enterprise architecture requirements into services and products.
Job requirements and experience
- Degree in (Business) Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in SAP architecture or SAP engineering, as well as with modern data platforms (data lake / lakehouse), ideally in a finance / controlling environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP technologies (in particular S/4HANA Finance, BW/4HANA, SAP BTP) as well as integration and data architectures (APIs, eventing, interfaces).
- Experience with enterprise architecture and governance processes (e.g. architecture boards, design reviews, security approvals).
- Solid understanding of AI in the SAP context (e.g. SAP AI Core, SAP Business AI, Joule) and basic knowledge of AI/ML use cases.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g. AI Act, GDPR) as well as common architecture methods and frameworks.
- Very good German (C1) and good English (B2) language skills, strong communication abilities, a structured way of working and the motivation to proactively drive topics forward.
