The Role
This is a newly created, hands‑on role designed to strengthen our warehouse management capabilities during a period of significant growth. You will work alongside the current warehouse team, taking operational lead on day‑to‑day execution – including goods handling, inventory control, and team coordination – while reporting directly to our Head of Logistics at headquarters for strategic direction.
You will not be replacing any existing role, but rather adding leadership capacity to ensure smooth operations, improved efficiency, and higher service levels as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Oversee and coordinate inbound, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Team Support: Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff; allocate daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors – working closely with the on‑site management to implement changes.
- Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations; maintain system integrity.
- Safety & Quality: Enforce health and safety regulations; maintain a clean, orderly workspace.
- Reporting: Prepare operational reports (KPIs) for headquarters and assist with data‑driven decision‑making.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse/logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
- Strong hands‑on mentality – willing to work on the warehouse floor alongside the team.
- Fluent English and Mandarin Chinese (essential for HQ communication). German (B1+) is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office.
- Valid German work permit or EU citizenship preferred; visa support possible for exceptional candidates.
