The internship assignment
Data is what enables Tesla to gain traceability for its manufactured products. In this role you will help shaping data into insights by creating data visualizations on internal platforms for internal stakeholders. In addition, you will validate data correctness by verifying the reported numbers compared to the physical state of the manufacturing line. This role is focused on implementing data visualization projects which requires a person with a technical background. This role is reporting to a senior engineer.
What You'll Do

Create new data visualizations on internal platforms for stakeholders.

Validate data correctness by working together with the involved stakeholders.

Database Management: Help organize data warehouses, write efficient SQL queries, and update data models.

Monitoring & Testing: Check daily data jobs for errors, investigate failed logs, and run basic performance tests.

Documentation: Write technical documentation for data schemas, data dictionaries, and pipeline processes.
What You'll Bring

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Technology & Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to adjust quickly when requirements change.

Prioritize the right task at the right time and to handle multiple responsibilities in parallel.

Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, JSON, YAML, ability to read code.

Solid knowledge of how to plot data using Python.

Full working proficiency in English.

Knowledge of Ignition / APIs / Kafka / Redis / Splunk / Docker / Kubernetes / Prometheus / Grafana / Jira / Confluence or similar tools is a plus.
- Independent and pro-active work style.
- Full working proficiency in German is a plus.
