JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a hands-on mechatronics technician to join beRobox's Operations team, working on our robotic palletizing cells and automation systems. The role covers mechanical and electrical assembly, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support, both at our Föhren facility and on-site at customer locations across Germany and internationally.
This is a concrete, hands-on position combining mechanical, electrical, and technical problem-solving skills. Experience with Python, AI, and other emerging technologies is a plus, though not required — what matters most is a willingness to learn, reliability, and a genuine interest in robotics and automation.

MAIN OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES
- Mechanically and electrically assemble robotic and automation systems
- Commission robotic cells, grippers, conveyors, sensors, and pneumatic systems
- Wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechatronic components
- Perform functional tests, safety checks, and customer demonstrations
- Support FAT/SAT, installations, final acceptance, and training sessions
- Diagnose and resolve issues on-site or remotely
- Adapt and optimize existing systems (mechanical, electrical, and process-related)
- Document service assignments, test results, changes, and open items
- Collaborate closely with project management, design, software, suppliers, and customers
- Contribute to the development of service, diagnostic, and automation solutions, including modern digital tools
TYPE OF POSITION AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Permanent, full-time position (40 hrs/week)
- Flexible schedule
- Regular national and international travel, including multi-day assignments
- Hands-on, physical work at customer sites
- Possible overtime depending on service needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Vocational training as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician (automation), industrial mechanic with electrical knowledge, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
- Experience in mechanical engineering, special-purpose machinery, plant engineering, service, or automation technology
- Good understanding of mechanics, electrical engineering, pneumatics, and industrial components
- Comfortable reading circuit diagrams, technical drawings, and technical documentation
- Experience with sensors, actuators, gripper technology, conveyors, and safety technology (an asset)
- Basic understanding of PLCs, safety PLCs, and industrial networks (an asset)
- Experience with robotic systems (UR, FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Doosan, or similar) is a plus
- Knowledge of Python, AI, data analysis, or smart diagnostic tools is an asset, not a requirement
- Class B driver's license
- Fluent German; functional English
