We build software that turns a customer conversation into a finished house floor plan. A homebuyer describes their desired house in ordinary language, our software generates a floor plan that complies with building regulations and the local development plan, and exports it as a CAD file that architects can continue working with directly. Our customers are prefabricated house manufacturers.
Elyra is a team of twelve people based in Berlin-Kreuzberg, is funded, and our first customers are already working with the product. We are looking for an experienced developer who will independently take ownership of a central area of our product.
Your responsibilities
- You develop central parts of our platform, from the backend and APIs to the user interface
- You design architecture and data models that scale with every new customer instead of having to be rebuilt
- You integrate AI services into production workflows where response time and reliability matter
- You build automated testing and deployment processes
- You work directly with our CTO, the founders, and real customers from the construction industry
- You make decisions about structure and quality in your area
Your profile
- Several years of professional experience developing software that has been used in production, not just prototypes
- Very good knowledge of at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or TypeScript, and a willingness to learn others
- Experience with a server-side framework and relational databases beyond simply using an ORM
- Clean API design and a high standard of quality
- Automated testing is a matter of course for you
- Very good German or English skills. Our code and documentation are in English
- We do not require a university degree
An advantage, but not a requirement
- Experience with algorithms, mathematical optimization, or constraint programming
- Exposure to geometry, CAD, BIM, or file formats such as DXF and IFC
- Docker, AWS, and Continuous Integration
- Experience working in a team of fewer than twenty people
- Interest in construction, architecture, or real estate
What we offer
- €55,000 to €80,000 gross annual salary
- Virtual shares in the company (VSOP)
- Responsibility for an entire product area from day one, instead of working through tickets assigned by others
- Direct access to the CTO and the founders, without an intermediate management layer
- Hybrid working with an office in Berlin-Kreuzberg near Moritzplatz, three to four days on site

Honestly
We are a young company. We do not have finished processes, written onboarding documentation, or assigned tickets. Our codebase has grown faster than its documentation, and many decisions have not yet been made by anyone. If you see that as room to shape things, you will feel at home with us.
