Job Description:
As part of the new ESOC FOE Astrophysics missions’ contract, due to start on 01/01/2027, we are seeking to expand our Spacecraft Analyst Team.
Key Responsibilities
The general activities to be supported by this service are:
Maintenance of operational databases, related tools, operational procedures using MS Office tools, VBA, SQL, etc.;
Support in validation of operational procedures and new releases of operational tools;
Development and maintenance of operational documentation under configuration control;
Reviewing alarms and out-of-limit events raised during shifts and supporting the FCT in offline investigation of spacecraft anomalous behaviour, determining follow-up actions;
Support in performing trend analysis of spacecraft and ground-segment telemetry and general reporting during routine operations;
Supporting automation and process improvements to reduce routine workload on the shift team.
Organisation, training and operational readiness check of the spacecraft controllers assigned to the mission;
Attending operation meetings with the FCT as required;
Additional Analyst tasks as defined by the supervisor.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
A university degree in a Science or IT-related discipline (electronics, physics, computing, programming, process control, ground station operations) is preferred.
Good IT skills (Database, SQL, programming)
Good communication skills, fluency in English, both in speaking and writing
Ability to work autonomously according to high-level guidelines and to work in international teams
A good working knowledge of MS Office Tools
