We're now looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead KERB Berlin, one of KERB Ventures' flagship European locations and a key part of our ambitious growth plans across Germany.
As General Manager, you will take full ownership of the continued success, performance and growth of the business. Reporting to the Head of Operations (Germany), you'll be responsible for delivering outstanding commercial results, exceptional operational standards, and an industry-leading guest experience, while building a high-performing culture where people can thrive.

- Lead the continued success and evolution of KERB Berlin, ensuring it operates as a best-in-class food hall and a centre of operational excellence within the KERB portfolio.
- Drive exceptional day-to-day operational performance across all areas of the business, ensuring consistently high standards in guest experience, food quality, health & safety, compliance and service delivery.
- Lead, coach and develop managers and hourly team, creating clear development pathways and fostering a people-first culture of performance, integrity and continuous learning.
- Work closely with the People & Culture team to deliver people initiatives including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, reward and learning & development programmes.
- Champion KERB's mission, vision and values, creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging culture where people can build long-term careers in hospitality.
- Act as a visible and inspiring leader for both the KERB team and our vendor community, creating an environment where people feel empowered to succeed.
- Act as a key partner in KERB's German growth ambitions, helping to shape and support future ventures and expansion opportunities within the market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, landlords, local partners, the KERB UK team and the wider KERB Ventures leadership group.
- Identify, evaluate and deliver new commercial opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams that strengthen the site's performance and market position.
- Oversee all commercial, operational and compliance activities across the food hall, ensuring the business remains legally compliant and operationally robust.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute sales, marketing and community engagement plans that drive footfall, brand awareness and revenue growth.
- Own the site's operating plan and financial performance, ensuring budgets, forecasts and profitability targets are achieved and exceeded where possible.
- Represent and champion the KERB brand across Berlin and the wider German hospitality market.
- Significant senior leadership experience within hospitality, food halls, multi-site operations, events, retail hospitality or comparable customer-focused environments.
- A proven track record of delivering sustainable business growth, driving operational excellence and leading high-performing teams.
- Fluent (or minimum B1/B2) German and English, with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively across a broad range of audiences and stakeholders.
- A natural people leader who inspires trust, develops talent and creates positive, high-performing cultures.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with experience managing diverse stakeholder groups including operators, suppliers, landlords, partners and senior leadership teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a proven ability to identify growth opportunities, maximise revenue streams and translate strategy into results.
- Deep understanding of the German hospitality landscape and the legal, regulatory and compliance requirements associated with operating large-scale hospitality venues.
- Outstanding financial management skills, including ownership of P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting and cost-control initiatives.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational leadership.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and taking ownership of complex business challenges.
- Passion for hospitality, people development and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Eligibility to work in Germany and flexibility to travel when required.
