Role Overview
We are looking for a Middle-Senior Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work on backend systems, automation, and data processing solutions. The role involves developing robust scripts, maintaining existing systems, migration and optimizing data workflows in a production environment.
We are searching for a self-motivated individual with a passion for enhancing and optimizing technical solutions not only in Python, also in Shell language in Linux environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and optimize Python and Linux shell scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Build automated pipelines and reusable code modules to support recurring reporting and analytics workloads.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of datasets.
- Conduct peer code reviews, optimize execution performance, and apply best-practice coding standards.
- Perform debugging, data validation, and root-cause analysis to ensure reliability of data flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify existing processes using automation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with Python and Shell scripting.
- Strong proficiency with Python and/or Linux scripting (including awk script).
- Experience with ETL development, data validation, and data integration.
- Good understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Ability to debug complex data pipelines and optimize performance.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Strong Linux/Unix background.
- Strong Windows/Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- Good/very good knowledge of English.
Nice to have Qualifications
- Experience with SAS/WPS.
- Experience with Perl.
- Experience with Apache Airflow.
- Exposure to version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, or job scheduling platforms.
- Experience in CPG, retail analytics, or large-scale market measurement environments.
