Postdoc in Causal Inference (f/m/d)
to join our team as soon as possible, to strengthen a new interdisciplinary research group at the interface of epidemiology, computer science, and medicine, with a focus on secondary data analysis and the development of predictive models for sepsis and other clinically relevant endpoints in healthcare data.
- Independent planning and execution of analyses using causal inference methods to develop valid predictive models

Development and adaptation of methods for various medical research questions and corresponding datasets

Supervision of undergraduate and graduate students

Collaboration with national and international partners

Preparation of reports and publications; teaching responsibilities may be assigned
- A university degree with a Ph.D. in epidemiology, psychology, or a related field in the medical sector with a strong quantitative focus

Extensive expertise in causal inference gained through several years of scientific work

Programming skills in R, SAS, and/or Python, or a willingness to acquire these skills based on comparable experience

Commitment, flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team

Good English skills required; German skills are a plus
