Communications professionals keen to work in Berlin, we have a great opportunity for a Communications Manager to join our team.
The Communications Manager will lead communications planning and delivery for ClientEarth's work in Germany. The successful candidate will develop and execute a strategic media relations plan for Germany, build and maintain strong relationships with German media, and advise legal, policy, advocacy and fundraising colleagues on how communications can increase the impact of their work.

Develop, implement and evaluate an integrated communications strategy for ClientEarth's work in Germany, aligned with organisational priorities and the Germany CPAD operational plan.
- Translate complex legal and policy work into clear, accurate and compelling communications for German audiences.
- Develop and execute a strategic media relations plan for Germany, with a focus on building sustainable relationships with national, regional and specialist German media.
- Oversee and produce high-quality German-language content across appropriate channels, including press, web, social media, newsletters, campaign materials and partner communications.

Fluent (CEFR level C2) in German and English
- Advanced communications, media relations, and reputational judgement, supported by significant relevant experience, ideally in an NGO, advocacy, law, policy, public affairs, journalism, or campaigning context
- Proven experience producing high-quality press materials and securing impactful media coverage in mainstream German media, in line with strategic goals
- Strong knowledge of the German media landscape, political context and communications environment, with relevant journalist contacts or a clear ability to build them quickly
