This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business.
Responsibilities:
Implementation of the Health & Safety Management System and compliance with technical and legal requirements. Responsible for ensuring compliance of the countries to World Courier’s H&S management system and to the local regulatory requirements as it pertains to H&S
Must provide guidance to offices and colleagues on all matters pertaining to H&S and compliance. Works proactively with H&S delegates to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working
Ensure that the Company’s Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently
Monitor, evaluate and review Health and Safety policy and practice, make recommendations and implement new policies and procedures as required by each country’s local regulation
Assessment of the activities/non-conformances related to health & safety on the local level
Provide response to client questionnaires in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Representative
Schedule client audits and coordinate the audit agenda in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Representative
Manage on-site preparation for client audits in close cooperation with branch/ country manager and Health & Safety Representative
Authorizing local H&S SOPs
Liaising with local H&S consultants and advise how to implement local regulations into the business
Establish appropriate training material and conduct training for general H&S topics, e.g. H&S SOP, current laws, regulations, directives, health & safety management system, etc
Establish, update and manage the hazard identification and assessment of risk and opportunities
Investigate and follow up on recorded accidents, incidents, and near misses and report to the Health & Safety Authority where required
Ensure all office buildings and equipment used receives regular inspections and maintenance
Foster the H&S performance with Continual Improvement to prevent the occurrence of incidents and nonconformities, promote a positive H&S culture and enhance H&S performance

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
Less than 2 years of experience in environmental health and safety, compliance, or a related field required
Certification in occupational health and safety, environmental management systems, workplace safety standards or equivalent preferred
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Familiarity with Health & Safety Management Systems, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventive action processes
Experience supporting or coordinating internal and external audits
Ability to interpret and apply internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards in a practical business environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with managers, employees, auditors, authorities, clients, and external stakeholders
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide guidance and influence safe working practices across multiple locations
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with a strong sense of accountability
Salary range gross annually: 50.000 € - 60.000 €
Cover for maternity leave until 01.07.2027 - fix term contract 1 year.
