Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Finance, Economics or similar.
- Minimum 5+yrs working experience in German taxation, legal and statutory compliance.
- Minimum 5+yrs working experience in financial reporting and tracking P&L results, cost reduction, inventory control, management accounts, tracking and managing costs against budgets and cashflow in Contracting/Engineering/Construction sector.
- Minimum 2yrs working experience in Fire Safety/Contractor/Engineering/Construction sector.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, including cost tracking, margin analysis, and work-in-progress (WIP) management.
- Proven ability to partner with project teams to monitor financial performance, forecasts, and contract profitability.
- Strong German based Technical Accounting skillset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and reporting skills – Fluency in both German and English required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance Strategy & Operations of the Business – German Taxation, Regulations, Legal and Statutory Compliance and Audits, in line with the Company Values, Finance Strategy & Operational Goals.
- Ensure the development and updating of finance related reporting, policies & procedures are in line with German legislative requirements; providing guidance to Team Members on the fair and consistent application of policies, procedures and German legislation.
- Coordinate and oversee the monthly management accounts reporting process including the analysis of related items of the balance sheet and statements, budgets and cashflow.
- Ensure Company’s bespoke internal system is reconciled with finance system and discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Create and manage monthly/weekly reports - Provide meaningful management information and analysis and recommendations in support of the business operations and to reduce costs.
