TASKS
- Operational management of the Global Payments Solution Operations function, including the Governance & Oversight, Projects, Outsourcing Management and Incident Management
- Functional and disciplinary management of employees (m/f/d) during periods of significant change, with a focus on developing and nurturing individual potential
- Supporting and contributing to major projects, e. g. mandatory regulatory initiatives, the rollout of global HSBC payments systems (Project Ellipse), and outsourcing/offshoring initiatives
- Leading project Ellipse locally from GPS Ops standpoint and working closely with global / regional GPS Ops rep ensuring all business requirements fed to the program are global gold standard ones
- Overseeing and representing all sub value streams that are part of GPS Ops (CBCC, DOME, Client Connectivity, Cards, Data, Client Servicing, Pricing & Billing, Liquidity)
- Actively working on best customer experience by ongoing cooperation with GPS Product, Client Services, reviewing Customer Complaints et.
- Actively managing and owning GPS Ops FRP and working closely with Transformation, Business management, GSC to achieve expected outcomes
- Accountable for implementing the optimal GPS Operations strategy including location strategy, technology levers and engagement with 3rd party vendors to support regional / global business objectives
- Ensure In-country teams meet operational risk targets, address key risks raised by 2nd/3rd LOD and continually adhere to Global Standards.
- Effective risk management and ensuring compliance with all relevant control standards
- Targeted collaboration with internal customers and other departments within the bank, as well as across the HSBC Group
- Representing the bank in external forums, e.g. the Association of German Banks or the Deutsche Bundesbank
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed university degree or equivalent
- Professional experience in banking, and ideally extensive people-management experience—or a genuine enthusiasm for leading teams through major change
- A highly independent and structured way of working
- Strong assertiveness combined with excellent communication skills
- Very strong analytical skills
- High interpersonal skills and strong team orientation
- Strong affinity for IT
- Very good German and English language skills

OUR BENEFITS
The pay range for this role is 82.600,- € - 123.900,- €.
The final compensation structure depends on your qualifications and the resulting contractual grading:
- Tariff grading: The compensation is governed by the collective agreement for the private banking sector (Tarifvertrag für das private Bankgewerbe).
- Non-Tariff grading: For roles outside the tariff structure, HSBC offers multiple variable pay plans, to reflect the diverse nature of the businesses, roles and markets in which we operate.
