Your Role
The RF/Microwave Solutions group within Molex is seeking a Business Development Engineer to join our EMEA Business Development team. This role is a critical technical leadership position empowering outsized market share capture in the EMEA interconnect market.
The Business Development Engineer plays a pivotal role in enabling design wins by providing rapid, high-value technical engagement with customers, applying disciplined opportunity management, and positioning Molex as a trusted engineering partner within complex, long-cycle programs. This is a highly visible role that will materially influence Molex's success in expanding its EMEA footprint.
Our Team
The RF/Microwave Solutions group within Molex's Copper Solutions Business Unit (CSBU) is currently facing a phase of hyper growth across prioritized global markets. Within EMEA, the Aerospace & Defense and Test & Measurement markets are a strategic focus, requiring deep technical credibility, strong customer intimacy, and close alignment across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver differentiated RF connectivity solutions that meet demanding performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact within the Business Development team, supporting our global Sales team and channel partners from opportunity qualification to conversion.
- Lead opportunity execution by coordinating timelines and deliverables across Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations from initial qualification through customer launch.
- Position Molex as a preferred design partner in RF/Microwave applications, working with the Product Management and Engineering teams to provide quick-turn consultative design support, drive tailored value creation strategies, and fine tune our offering and positioning to win.
- Compile detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the buildout of Sales enablement resources and training collateral that empowers our Sales stakeholders to generate high quality, high probability opportunities for our products and capabilities.
- Represent Molex at trade shows, conferences, and technical events to build brand awareness and generate leads
Who You Are (Basic Requirements)
- Several years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or product management in a similar industry (RF/Microwave background is a big plus)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical background with significant relevant experience
- Comfortable operating in a global, cross-functional environment
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as necessary to support business, primarily within Europe
- Experience managing and influencing complex, multi-year design cycles and stakeholder networks
- Background in product management, technical marketing, or systems engineering
- Fluent in English, any other European languages would be beneficial
What Will Put You Ahead
- Deep knowledge of RF connector and cable assembly design, applications, and manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated experience working with OEM and/or Tier 1 Aerospace & Defense customers and platforms
- Familiarity with A&D industry standards, acquisitions process, qualification environments (e.g., reliability, ruggedization, PLM) and applications , including avionics, radar, EW, space, secure communications (MT1) , and ISR
- Familiarity with RF/Microwave applications within the Test & Measurement market, including but not limited to semiconductors and high-speed digital test equipment
