Designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining the data architecture and ELT/ETL pipelines that support our business goals across charging sessions, billing, invoicing, and promotions.
Build and maintain large-scale batch and streaming pipelines, data warehouse models, and transformation layers that are reliable, performant, and well documented.
Own the semantic layer that turns physical tables into governed business metrics, so that every team consumes one consistent definition of revenue, margin, usage, and active customers.
Prepare and structure data so it is AI ready, enabling natural-language analytics, retrieval, and AI-assisted experiences on top of a trusted foundation.
Become a master of the business domain, not only the data. Understand how charging, billing, settlement, invoicing, and OEM and fleet economics actually work, and let that knowledge drive how you model and expose the data.
Manage integrations between Snowflake, Power BI, SAP, APIs, and other analytics tools so the platform serves both reporting and operational needs.
Partner directly with analysts, data scientists, finance, and product to understand requirements, translate them into robust data solutions, and communicate the trade-offs back to stakeholders.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously optimize infrastructure performance and cost.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in large-scale transactional or subscription-based businesses (mobility, energy, fintech, or e-commerce a plus).
Strong SQL (Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and hands-on experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework.
Strong Python skills for data engineering, automation, and pipeline orchestration.
Solid understanding of data modeling (star schema, large flat tables) and how models feed BI and semantic layers.
Experience building or maintaining a semantic / metrics layer, and a genuine interest in making business data consumable by AI experiences.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, APIs, orchestration (for example Airflow), and version control (Git).
Comfortable applying software engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and monitoring.
A genuine appetite to learn the business deeply and become a go-to reference on how the domain works, alongside your engineering craft.
Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Exposure to streaming technologies (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Spark) and Azure cloud services.
Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Nice to have experience with AI and LLM tooling, RAG patterns, or vector stores applied to enterprise data.
… and of course the classics: delicious coffee & tea, fresh fruits and an office dog friendly environment

At DCS, we develop public charging solutions. Our solutions, in the form of an app or in the head unit of the car, provide access to multiple networks of Charge Point Operators (CPO) and enable drivers of electric vehicles to find, use and pay for charging in an easy and seamless way. Therefore, by providing this service, we are a key player in the change to electromobility.
Since the beginning of 2019, we are a part of the mobility joint venture between BMW Group and Mercedes Benz Mobility. In 2021, bp joined as the third shareholder.
CHARGE NOW is one of our services.
