During your studies, you can contribute to our ongoing research projects. Join us in pushing the limits of what is technically feasible and be part of breaking new ground together. We offer a variety of challenging and practice-oriented topics for mandatory internships, Bachelor’s or Master’s theses or for student research assistants. You will analyse important scientific preliminary questions and support the project teams with development activities.
Mixed-signal verification is becoming increasingly important in the development of modern integrated circuits. In particular, analog and digital circuit components must interact reliably in communication and sensor systems. A key aspect of this process is the creation of abstract behavioral models of transistor-level circuits, which enable efficient simulations at higher levels of abstraction, for example using Verilog-AMS.
To support this process, a Python-based framework for the automated generation of circuit models has already been developed. The objective of this thesis is to extend the framework with methods for automatic signal and structural classification, as well as the detection of predefined circuit classes. Based on these capabilities, generators shall be developed that automatically create suitable mixed-signal behavioral models. The overall goal is to reduce the effort required for model development and to improve the efficiency of mixed-signal verification.
