Here at The Exploration Company, we are building innovative aerospace technologies that advance the future of space transportation.
We want you as a talented Analog Electronic Design Engineer to help develop the electronic systems we need for the Nyx capsule.
You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:
- Create schematics for analog and digital circuits
- Design printed circuit boards (PCB) for the space environment
- Test the boards you designed to ensure they are up to the standards for space flight
Key Responsibilities
As an Analog Electronic Design Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:
- Simulation of electronic circuits
- Schematic design, with aspects such as fault tolerance and radiation considered
- PCB layout creation (Altium)
- Creation of PCB data packs (e.g. Bill of Materials)
- Full test cycle from first power up of prototypes to acceptance testing of flight
hardware
- Creation and adaptation of test scripts in Python for test automation
- Working closely with mechanical and system engineers to define capabilities and
requirements of the circuit boards
What we would love to see from you
In the role of Analog Electronic Design Engineer, ideally you will have the following:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or
similar (can be substituted with several years of relevant work experience)
- Relevant work experience in electronics design or test
- Circuit design and layout experience (KiCAD, Altium Designer, etc)
- Hands-on mentality working in the laboratory (Soldering, prototype debugging, etc.)
Bonus Knowledge
- Radiation effects and radiation related failure mechanisms in electronic circuits
- Environmental qualification and relevant standards ECSS / NASA-HBK/ MIL-STD for
parts derating, board design, Interfaces is a plus

Compensation Range: €65K - €82.5K
