As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial activities of an assigned project within an OEM or Tier 1 customer account /or for developing new business opportunities with an assigned customer, within the Exterior business, based in Munich.
You will manage customer relationships and commercial activities for your assigned perimeter, working closely with Engineering, Program Management, Plants, Quality, Finance, R&D and Marketing to ensure successful project execution and profitable business development.
Main responsibilities
Manage the commercial activities of an assigned project within an OEM or Tier 1 customer account and/or develop new business opportunities with an assigned customer.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and Purchasing Centres.
Prepare and coordinate commercial offers, including pricing, tooling and Design & Development costs, in collaboration with internal teams.
Contribute to the definition of commercial strategies and lead customer negotiations within the assigned perimeter.
Follow up on pricing evolution, commercial conditions and profitability throughout the project and serial life.
Coordinate with Engineering, Program Management, Plants, Quality, Finance, R&D and Marketing to ensure effective customer and project management.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
5+ years of experience in automotive Sales, Account Management
Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, ideally within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
Proven experience with customer management, RFQs, quotations and commercial negotiations.
Understanding of pricing, margins, profitability and financial performance.
Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
Commercially minded, with the ability to identify business opportunities and assess risks.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment.
Fluent in German and English.
Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel.
