As Regional Commodity Manager (f/m/d) Field Services Europe & Africa (EU&AF) region, you own and shape the Field Services commodity across the Gas Services Central business in EU&AF. The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on implementation, aligning diverse business needs and translating strategy into measurable results. The role will be integral part of the Regional procurement team of GS Central.
You work closely with Service Operations organizations, Engineering, Project Management, and Procurement across GS Central region EU&AF. Acting as a trusted sparring partner, you balance project, technical requirements, commercial outcomes, and supply market realities, while engaging suppliers as a senior commercial counterpart.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Develop & execute tailored Comprehensive Field Services Commodity Strategies (forward-looking) aimed at achieving Business & Regional objectives (Growth, Resilience & Cost Out) for Global Service Operations

Lead cross functional team that embodies “Value Creation” mindset and drives improvements in cost, on-time delivery of services, quality, and lead times, while ensuring highest level of Health & Safety. The successful candidate will be the strategic leader for assigned commodities within the region; Provide strategic vision and represents their respective business interests into a global commodity team. Act as a role model for ownership, innovation, and transformation aligned with Siemens Energy’s values and strategy

Work on commodity structure and provide periodic updates of commodity health to Strategic Procurement leadership and key customers, shares supplier market intelligence across Siemens Energy

Supplier Management: Supplier selection, onboarding (Ready 4 Business), supplier qualification (Ready 2 Order) and communication of strategic suppliers. Evaluate supplier performance and enforce compliance with contractual obligations and field-focused KPIs

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating price lists, contracts that ensure favorable terms, quality, delivery, and service-level agreements

Risk Management & Compliance: Identify supply risks, including market volatility, and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and health & safety standards
What You Bring

University degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or comparable field

Long-term professional experience in procurement, commodity management, engineering or other relevant Field Services function within an industrial or project driven environment or similar function, within a global organization

Strong experience in negotiation of long-term contracts, strategic sourcing, and complex contract management

Deep understanding of cost analysis, market trends, and risk mitigation

Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills. Must be flexible to travel when needed (both domestically and internationally)

Fluent language skills in English (primary) and ideally also in German (secondary) language
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
