Integral was founded in October 2024 and is already one of the fastest-growing startups in Germany. We're building the leading AI-native platform for accounting, payroll, and tax for European SMEs, and we're looking for the sharpest people to help us get there.
As Senior Product Builder, you own a core area of the product end to end. You work alongside top-tier engineers and build with them: you write specs, prototype ideas, and ship, using AI tools the way an engineer does.
You sit with users, find what slows them down, and give them that time back. The domain is complex and heavily regulated, so getting it right means holding several things at once: what the user needs, how Ops works today, and what the rules demand. AI makes a product like this possible. The bar is whether it's genuinely good for the people who use it.
You work in a small team, close to the founders. Onsite in our Berlin Prenzlauer Berg office.
Build, not just decide. Prototype your ideas, ship features with engineering, and stay close enough to the code to make real product calls.
Learn the domain cold. Sit with accountants, watch how the work actually happens, and learn German bookkeeping well enough to know what "correct" means before you build it.
Get the workflows right. Accounting and payroll have to be correct, auditable, and traceable. You set that bar and check it against real client data.
Decide how AI fits. Work out what AI can own today, what stays with a person, and how that line moves as models improve. Design workflows that get better as the technology does.
Free people from the grunt work. Turn today's manual steps into agents that handle them, cut exception handling, shorten time to close, and measure the hours saved.
Own your area. Discovery, prioritisation, release, iteration. You call what ships and when.
What makes it special:
You build a product area that sits at the center of what Integral does, and you actually build it.
You work directly with the CTO and a senior engineering team that ships fast and cares about craft.
You're early enough that the big product decisions are still open.
Your work reaches thousands of business founders in Germany who run their finances on Integral.
You build. You prototype your own ideas, you can take them most of the way yourself, and you'd rather ship a rough version than write a long doc about it.
You use AI tools effectively, to build and not just to chat, or you're hungry to learn.
You've taken products from 0 to 1 and know what that actually takes.
You move on your own, think in systems, and bring clarity to messy domains.
You hold a high bar without chasing perfection. You ship, learn, and improve.
You're fluent in German and English.
Preferred Experience
Experience in fintech, or building software for accounting, payroll, banking, or other money-movement domains.

A working feel for German tax and regulatory requirements for small businesses.
We move fast. The full process takes less than two weeks.
