As a New Product Introduction (NPI) / Product Industrialization Engineer at Bliq, you will be responsible for turning product designs into scalable, manufacturable products.
You will own the hardware supply chain from component selection through production launch, working closely with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and operations to ensure every product is built with the right components, at the right quality, cost, and time.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, making fast decisions, and taking ownership across engineering and operations.
-
Own the end-to-end NPI process, from prototype through volume production.
-
Work closely with engineering to understand system architecture, then independently identify, evaluate, and qualify hardware components that meet technical, quality, cost, and supply chain requirements.
-
Validate and benchmark critical hardware, including sensors, LiDARs, routers, antennas, domain controllers, and other electromechanical components.
-
Build and continuously improve a world-class supplier network capable of supporting rapid product development and production at scale.
-
Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, and development throughout the product lifecycle.
-
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, lead times, and manufacturing agreements while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
-
Own material planning and ensure critical components are available to support engineering builds, pilot production, and mass production.
-
Develop inventory and sourcing strategies that maximize availability while minimizing OPEX and supply chain risk.
-
Identify supply bottlenecks before they become production issues and implement mitigation plans, including alternate sourcing where necessary.
-
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to successfully launch new products on schedule.
-
Continuously improve supply chain, sourcing, and manufacturing processes to increase speed, quality, and efficiency.
-
University degree (or equivalent proof of qualification) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
-
Strong understanding of hardware systems and manufacturing processes.
-
Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or production environments.
-
Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs across performance, manufacturability, cost, quality, and supply chain risk.
-
Excellent and demonstrated negotiation and supplier management skills.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute with urgency in a startup-paced environment.
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, manufacturing, and external suppliers.
-
Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and taking ownership of outcomes.
-
Experience with ERP, PLM, or supply chain planning systems is a plus.
-
Experience in robotics, automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, or other complex hardware products is a strong plus.
-
You take ownership beyond your job description.
-
You move quickly without sacrificing quality.
-
You communicate clearly and work well with people across different disciplines.
-
You enjoy building systems, processes, and products from the ground up.
-
You care about execution as much as innovation.
Tips for a successful application
1. Read the job description carefully. Don't just fire off a generic application. You are then just wasting your time and ours.
2. Share relevant work samples. This matters more than a polished CV.
3. Briefly explain what you bring to the table as a candidate: How is your skill set driving value for the company? How are you making our team stronger?
4. Don't let AI speak for you. We receive 1000's of applications, most of them written by AI. They all sound the same. Obvious AI slop will deleted straight away. We take the time to review each and every application manually. So, please be respectful of our time and present yourself, don't feed us an AI version of yourself.
