Provide advice, guidance, analysis, and reporting of financial information.
Analyze and interpret complex financial results, trends, and performance metrics to identify business issues, provide insights, and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
Partner with business leaders to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans through ongoing analysis of expenses, headcount costs, and operational performance.
Prepare, review, and present financial reports, trend analyses, and management presentations that support informed business decision-making.
Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, statutory reporting, and financial analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support expense management, assess financial impacts of business changes, and drive process improvements.
Manage tax compliance activities, support audits, address inquiries from external authorities, and ensure adherence to local and corporate regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor team members while ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, or financial analysis experience required.
Experience working within an international or multinational organization preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SAP, or similar financial systems) preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in German and English
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory frameworks, including U.S. GAAP, IFRS, local GAAP, and SOX.
Solid understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and business performance analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to provide financial expertise and guidance to stakeholders and influence decision-making across a matrix organization.
Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English and local language.
Ability to manage confidential information, balance competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
