Are you an e-commerce manager with a passion for building best-in-class online experiences in the luxury sector? Royfort is seeking an e-commerce manager based in Berlin and fluent in German to own and elevate our Shopify store as our primary revenue channel.
Royfort is a leading luxury brand in the home & living sector, founded by two former Google/Amazon employees. We have built a strong and loyal customer base, with tens of thousands of high-net-worth individuals who appreciate the quality and elegance of our products. Our customers are discerning, affluent, and value excellence.
At Royfort, we take the best elements of top tech company cultures to create an environment that prioritizes personal development, collaboration, and flexibility. You'll work with smart, driven people in a small, agile team where your contributions directly impact our success.
Your Responsibilities
As E-Commerce Manager, you own the performance of our Shopify store - our primary revenue channel. This is a hands-on role focused on measurable results: conversion, revenue, and a shopping experience worthy of a luxury brand.
Own the Shopify Store
- Own the performance and continuous improvement of our Shopify (Plus) store as the primary revenue channel
- Ensure a flawless mobile experience, where the majority of our traffic converts
- Manage the store's tech stack and apps, and steer an external development agency - challenging their scope, quality, and timelines
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- Drive CRO through ongoing improvements to site structure, navigation, product pages, and checkout flow
- Run structured A/B tests: form clear hypotheses, set them up cleanly, and judge results by statistical significance
- Use funnel analysis, session replays, and heatmaps to find and fix drop-offs
Analytics and Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on e-commerce KPIs (CVR, AOV, revenue per visitor, add-to-cart rate, checkout completion)
- Diagnose performance issues directly from the data (e.g. a sudden drop in mobile checkout) and turn insight into action
Merchandising and Trading
- Own on-site merchandising: collection structure, product sorting, search and filter logic, cross- and upselling
- Plan and execute product launches, campaigns, and seasonal peaks on-site to actively drive revenue
Brand Stewardship On-Site
- Ensure the storefront always reflects the luxury positioning of the brand - visually and editorially
- Balance e-commerce best practice with brand integrity
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing on traffic quality, landing pages, and campaign coordination
- Work with operations and retail on product availability, product data, and a consistent experience across our online store and our shop-in-shops at KaDeWe and Breuninger
About You
- 4+ years experience in D2C e-commerce, ideally with direct ownership of an online storefront
- Proven experience managing a Shopify store (Shopify Plus a plus), including working with developers or agencies on UX, CRO, and technical improvements
- Strong analytical skills: confident in GA4 and Shopify analytics, funnel analysis, and A/B testing
- A track record of CRO work that moved real metrics
- On-site merchandising / trading experience
- Comfortable steering agency and freelancer relationships — able to challenge their work, not just manage it
- Luxury or premium sensibility; experience with a 35+ / high-net-worth demographic is a plus
- Hands-on, self-directed, and comfortable with ambiguity in a small team
- Enthusiasm for working with AI tools (Anthropic) to automate and improve day-to-day work
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Fluent in German and English
- Reports directly to one of the founders
