Account Manager - OEM Solutions Key Accounts
We are looking for an Account Manager to drive the performance development and lifecycle management of our Lubrication Lifetime Solutions portfolio. The focus will be on Sales in DACH Region where you will have sales and profit responsibility for specified customers and industries. In this role, you will act as the owner of the product and solution portfolio, translating customer challenges and needs into scalable, high-value offerings. You will work at the intersection of engineering, application engineering and factories to create differentiation, growth, and customer value.
Key Responsibilities
Grow the development of your customer accounts across the DACH-region (Germany Austria, Switzerland), identifying new opportunities and expanding existing customer partnerships.
Negotiate prices and future contracts - pricing, payment & delivery terms, customer commitments - in line with valid guidelines, and ensure implementation of prices and associated discounts.
Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and ways of working to ensure a customer-focused approach based on the SKF Sales Excellence principles.
Ensure strong relationships with customers by e.g. regular customer visits (physical and remote), and by analyzing, negotiating and following up on call for tenders.
Monitor portfolio performance and continuously optimize solutions based on feedback and data, by representing the product and solutions portfolio internally and externally, including at customer meetings and industry events.
What you bring
To be ready for this role, you need to have:
A university degree in Mechanical or BusinessEngineering, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant working experience.
Good knowledge of solution selling, with experience in sales for the industrial sector.
Prior knowledge and experience in lubrication systems and their applications would be an asset.
Ability to deliver profitable growth through long-term customer relationships, with experience in working with engineered-to-order or solution-driven portfolios.
Proficiency in IT tools, in particular SAP, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce.
Ability to translate technical complexity into clear customer value propositions, with proficient negotiations and communications skills.
Fluency in English and German, and high willingness to travel.
