Shape the future of healthcare by translating regulatory complexity into elegant product solutions. As Senior Product Manager - MedTech (m/f/x), you'll own the full lifecycle of innovative medical technology software products—whether you're bringing B2B SaaS product thinking into regulated healthcare solutions or bringing your deep MedTech/Pharma domain expertise into a scale-up environment. You'll decode complex legal frameworks, break them into actionable requirements, and drive their implementation with engineering and design teams.
This role demands someone who rolls up their sleeves from day one. You'll be the critical translator between regulatory authorities, legal requirements, and technical execution—turning dense compliance frameworks into intuitive software solutions that users love and regulators approve. You'll keep the big picture in focus while wrestling with complex details, managing competing deadlines and pain points with clarity and urgency.
You won't just understand MedTech regulations—you'll transform them into competitive advantages.
This role is based in Mannheim, a vibrant tech hub at the heart of Germany, where you'll collaborate with a talented, forward-thinking team. We embrace a hybrid work model, with three days a week in the office, ensuring the perfect balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.
-
Decode regulatory complexity and translate it into product reality—actively monitor and deeply analyze evolving MedTech legislation (EUDAMED, SWISSDAMED, GUDID, TGA requirements), extract the essential product implications, and distill them into clear, actionable requirements for engineering and design teams
- Break down complex compliance frameworks into tangible, prioritized action items with realistic timelines. You own the translation between legal language and product language, ensuring nothing gets lost in the handoff
- Drive product strategy with regulatory insight—use your deep understanding of compliance landscapes to identify product opportunities, anticipate regulatory shifts, and stay ahead of industry changes
- Partner relentlessly with engineering teams to understand technical constraints and possibilities, then shape product solutions that satisfy both regulatory requirements and user needs
- Balance competing priorities with precision—maintain clarity on pain points, critical deadlines, and business-critical milestones while managing stakeholder expectations and cross-functional dependencies
- Champion data-informed decision-making by synthesizing market insights, customer feedback, regulatory trends, and product metrics to guide iterative product improvements
- Own product quality and compliance integration—ensure regulatory requirements are baked into the product from inception, not bolted on afterward, reducing rework and market delays
-
A skilled translator with deep MedTech regulatory expertise—you have hands-on experience decoding complex legal and regulatory texts in English (ideally EUDAMED at minimum) and transforming them into clear product requirements. You bring experience with regional systems such as SWISSDAMED (CH), GUDID (USA), and/or TGA (AUS), and understand MedTech data ecosystems like GDSN and HCDP. For you, compliance is a design problem to solve, not a constraint to accept
- Proven product leader from either path:
- B2B SaaS background with demonstrated success in product discovery, delivery, and scaling—ideally with exposure to regulated industries; OR
- Enterprise MedTech/Pharma background where you owned product development in-house, working directly with engineering, regulatory, and cross-functional teams to build and improve software solutions from the ground up
- Action-oriented and pragmatic—you're not afraid to dig into complex topics, ask tough questions, and propose solutions. You thrive when breaking down messy problems into discrete, manageable action items with clear owners and deadlines. You've shipped products under real constraints—whether ambitious product roadmaps, regulatory timelines and/or complex stakeholder dynamics
- A natural bridge-builder between worlds—you speak both "legal" and "engineering." You can read and understand a 50-page regulatory requirement, distill its true intent, and articulate to developers exactly what needs to be built and why. You've done this translation work hands-on, not theoretically
- Big-picture thinker with attention to critical details—you keep sight of strategic goals and key pain points while managing the granular work of product execution. You know what matters most and ruthlessly prioritize accordingly
- A technical product partner who works closely with software engineers, understands technical trade-offs, and can advocate for product improvements that add genuine user value. You've navigated the messiness of building real products—and you know how to improve them iteratively
- Data-driven and curious—you make decisions grounded in evidence: customer research, market signals, regulatory trends, and product metrics
- A stakeholder maestro—you navigate complex organizational dynamics, align diverse priorities, and build consensus around clear product vision. You communicate with confidence and clarity, especially in high-stakes regulatory discussions
- Fluent in English at C1 level for seamless communication with global teams and deep engagement with regulatory documents; German language skills are a valuable plus
