The HR Systems and Automation team builds and maintains the digital backbone of HR — designing scalable workflows, automating manual processes, and ensuring HR knowledge and tools are easy to find, use, and trust. We partner closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to continuously modernize how people get information and get things done.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our HR Systems and Automation team, focusing on Knowledge Base Management. In this role, you will help design, structure, and maintain our internal knowledge ecosystem across SharePoint, Confluence, and JIRA — making sure HR content is accurate, discoverable, and visually engaging. You will also explore ways to bring AI-powered tools into our daily knowledge management workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
What You'll Do-
Build, organize, and maintain knowledge base content and structures in SharePoint and Confluence
-
Create and manage JIRA tickets/workflows to track knowledge base requests, content updates, and process improvements
-
Design visually appealing, user-friendly page layouts, templates, and navigation structures (creative UI/UX thinking for intranet and wiki pages)
-
Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools (e.g., chatbots, AI search, content generation/summarization assistants) into knowledge management processes
-
Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather content, translate it into clear documentation, and keep it up to date
-
Support content audits, cleanups, and taxonomy/tagging improvements to boost searchability
-
Prepare bilingual (English/German) content and documentation as needed
-
Assist with reporting on knowledge base usage, gaps, and improvement opportunities
What You'll Bring-
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program (e.g., Business Administration, HR, Information Systems, Communications, Design, or related field)
-
Hands-on proficiency with SharePoint and Confluence (site/page building, permissions, structure)
-
Familiarity with JIRA (creating and managing tickets, boards, workflows)
-
A creative eye for UI/UX — you enjoy designing clean, intuitive, and visually appealing pages
-
Genuine interest and affinity for AI-integrated ways of working (e.g., using AI tools for content creation, search, or automation)
-
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken) — C1 level or above in both
-
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple small projects
-
Proactive, curious, and comfortable working independently as well as in a team
Nice to Have-
Prior experience with intranet/wiki content design or digital communications
-
Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, JIRA automation rules)
-
Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar for content or workflow support
