As Supply Chain Planning, we develop logistics processes and plant structures based on customer requirements in the early phase of vehicle projects, taking into account ecological and economic aspects. In close cooperation with other departments and suppliers, we are responsible for planning all material and information flows up to implementation.
We agilely seize the opportunity to integrate automation and digitization into the planning of lean and high-performance logistics processes. After completing the program, you will contribute to the development and implementation of future-oriented logistics concepts, automation initiatives, and supply chain solutions in an international manufacturing environment.
- You will complete the first project within your target field Supply Chain Planning
- During the program, you will work independently on up to four additional projects in various divisions of the company, one of which will take place at a VW Group brand abroad
- In addition, you will complete short modules in different areas of the company (e. g., assembly)
- You will engage in various working groups within the Graduate Trainee Community
- After completing the program, you will assume your permanent position in your target field
- Developing innovative logistics structures and supply concepts by leveraging advanced analytics, simulation methodologies and data-driven planning approaches
- Optimizing logistics networks, warehousing concepts and material flows to increase efficiency, resilience, sustainability and operational performance across the end-to-end supply chain
Driving digital transformation initiatives by identifying and implementing automation, data analytics and AI-based solutions to improve planning efficiency, transparency and decision quality

- University degree in Industrial Engineering with focus on digitalization, Business Informatics, or a comparable discipline
- Minimum of three months of international experience during your academic studies through internships or an exchange semester
- Practical experience of at least six months through relevant internships
- Fluent English and German language skills at B2 level
- Passion for supply chain, production and logistics processes and a strong interest in developing innovative, data-driven and technology-enabled solutions
- Experience with digitalization, analytics and automation technologies, ideally including Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, KNIME, Python and AI-based applications such as Generative AI and Copilot
- Understanding of enterprise system landscapes, data integration and modern cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, ERP, APS, MES, APIs)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills, ideally complemented by knowledge of optimization techniques and Operations Research
