The Opportunity
Join our international, multidisciplinary team of dedicated Data Centre experts as we develop reliable, efficient, and sustainable solutions for both current and future digital infrastructure. You will be involved in mission-critical projects of medium to large scale, managing all phases of design - from conceptualisation through construction supervision to final handover.
As a Senior Engineer-Building Automation, you will:

Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and advisors to deliver integrated solutions for complex data centre and mission-critical projects

Design controls and automation systems for the operation and monitoring of mission-critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure, from concept design to handover

Prepare, review, and own key design deliverables, ensuring technical quality, coordination, compliance, and alignment with client requirements and industry standards

Collaborate closely with data centre clients and MEP design teams to develop cost-efficient, robust, and best-in-class solutions that meet operational, technical, and sustainability objectives

Communicate technical solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, while collaborating with colleagues across regions and applying current industry trends, standards, and best practices
Does this role inspire you?
We are looking for someone passionate about sustainable data centre design and who possesses:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering, or an equivalent discipline

6+ years experience designing controls and automation systems for building services or industrial infrastructure, data centre experience is a plus

Strong technical knowledge of German and international codes, industry standards, and BIM-based delivery, with professional experience using relevant controls, automation, and design software tools

Proven ability to take ownership of design deliverables, manage quality and timelines, prioritise work effectively, and coordinate tasks across project teams

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluent English and good German skills
