Our client is an international and fast-growing organisation active in the renewable energy sector, with operations across several European countries. The organisation develops and manages large-scale sustainable energy projects and is currently further expanding its activities in Germany.
For this organisation, Fuuse is recruiting for the German market. You will join an international Finance team in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, where there is plenty of room to contribute ideas, improve processes, and take ownership.
The Role
As a Financial Administrator, you will play an important role in the financial administration of the German business. You will support the day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, VAT administration, and project-related financial activities.
The position can be based in Amsterdam or Düsseldorf, with a hybrid working model. You will work closely with both the German business and the international Finance organisation.
This is a part-time position of 24–32 hours per week.
Important language requirement
Fluency in both German and English is essential for this position. You will communicate regularly with German stakeholders as well as colleagues across the international Finance organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial administration, including incoming and outgoing payments
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate matching and coding
- Prepare and process customer invoices, including self-billing invoices
- Ensure correct VAT treatment in line with German regulations
- Monitor outstanding payables and receivables and resolve discrepancies
- Perform dunning activities and follow up on overdue customer balances
- Assign expenses to the correct cost centres and projects
- Support monthly and annual financial closing activities
- Assist with external audits and financial projects
- Contribute to process optimisation, automation, and standardisation
- Maintain and update financial procedures and work instructions
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar financial administration role
- Educational background in Finance, Accounting, Financial Administration, or a related field
- This is a part-time position for 24–32 hours per week, offering flexibility to combine the role with other commitments.
- Good knowledge of German VAT regulations
- Fluent in German and English – both languages are required
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and an organised, proactive approach
- Comfortable working independently in a growing and changing environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
